Toyota has officially revealed the all-new, sixth-generation RAV4 for the 2026 model year, marking a significant redesign for one of America’s best-selling vehicles. The big news is that the 2026 RAV4 is going hybrid-only, with all models featuring some form of electrified powertrain.

Powertrains:
• Hybrid Standard: All 2026 RAV4 models will be hybridized.
• Two Hybrid Options:
• Standard Hybrid: Combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor. It offers 226 horsepower with front-wheel drive (FWD) and 236 horsepower with all-wheel drive (AWD).
• Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV): Previously known as RAV4 Prime, this version now boasts a significant power increase to 320 horsepower (up from 302 hp) and offers up to 50 miles of EV-only range.
• Increased Towing Capacity: Most AWD hybrid and PHEV models now have a towing capacity of 3500 pounds.

Design and Exterior:
• All-New Look: The 2026 RAV4 features a complete redesign inside and out, taking design cues from models like the latest Camry and Grand Highlander.
• Distinct Styles: Toyota is offering the RAV4 in different “styles” across seven grades (trims):
• Core: Includes LE, XLE, and Limited trims with a body-color grille and black fender flares.
• Rugged: Features the Woodland trim, which gets a higher ride height, a distinctive split grille, and all-terrain tires.
• Sport: Includes SE, XSE, and the new GR Sport trim.

• Standard Digital Gauge Display: A 12.3-inch digital gauge display now comes standard on all RAV4 models (previously reserved for upper trims).
